Draft: to be reviewed by legal counsel before relying on it.

1. Our commitment
We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, and we want it to work with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control and other assistive technology.
2. Current status
We have not completed a formal accessibility audit, so we do not claim conformance yet. We design with semantic HTML, sufficient color contrast and keyboard access, and we will review the site as it grows.
3. Tools built into the site
These tools are in the Accessibility menu in the header of every page:
- Text size (A-, A, A+): make text smaller or larger without browser zoom.
- Dark mode: an optional darker theme. The site always opens in light mode until you choose dark.
- Read this page: reads the page content aloud using your browser's built-in speech engine.
- Skip to main content link and visible keyboard focus on every interactive element.
- Reduced motion: animation and smooth scrolling are turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Mobile menu that works with the keyboard and screen readers.
Your choices are saved in your browser only. See the Cookie Policy.
4. Known limitations
- Read-aloud depends on the voices your browser provides and may be unavailable in some browsers.
- Some pages are placeholders and will be reviewed as their content is added.
- Third-party sites we link to, such as FMCSA SAFER, are outside our control.
5. Feedback
If you find a barrier, please tell us through the Contact page. Include the page address and the assistive technology you use. TODO: add a response-time commitment.
